What’s this Instant Pot thing?

I’m sure you’ve probably heard about the Instant Pot by now.  Someone you know has one or a friend of a friend of a friend told you it’s a must have for your kitchen.

Well, I couldn’t agree more with them!  I absolutely love using the Instant Pot.  It has become a lifesaver when it comes to dinner on my crazy schedule.  I’m also horrible about remembering to pull meat out of the freezer in time for it to thaw for dinner.  The Instant Pot has saved mealtime more than once when this happens.   My absolute favorite thing to use it for is hard-boiled eggs!  Not only do they cook in just 7 minutes, but they are so easy to peel!

The Instant Pot is multi-function in that it’s a pressure cooker and slow cooker, can cook rice, steam, sauté and even keep warm.  This makes it such a versatile tool in the kitchen that it can literally replace multiple appliances.

I know there are a lot of electric pressure cookers out there and some even have multiple functions like the Instant Pot, but the ease of operation and safety features of the Instant Pot put it above the rest.

Most pressure cooker disasters are usually by user error.  Instant Pot’s design goes above and beyond with built-in safety features to eliminate and avoid most potential problems.  Features such as leaky lid detection, excessive pressure release, lid close detection, lid lock under pressure, high temp warning, automatic temp control, etc.

After using the Instant Pot multiple times and reading about all of its features, I fully believe this is the easiest, most convenient and safest electric pressure cooker on the market.  They’ve really gone above and beyond to make a great set of products.

Now, there are different models of the Instant Pot.  I personally have the Instant Pot IP-LUX60 6-in-1 6 Qt model.  There is a 7-in-1 (IP-DUO60) 6 Qt model, 7-in-1 (IP-DUO80) 8 Qt model and a Bluetooth enabled 6 Qt model (IP-Smart) for those totally techy cooks!

So, if you were thinking about the Instant Pot, it’s definitely worth adding to your kitchen arsenal.  Then, come back and tell me what you think of it.  If you already have one, tell me what you love (or hate) about it in the comments!
